Catalogue Description:
Porcelain bread dish, part of green and white dinner service (68.87.1-13). White porcelain with vitreous glaze. Deep dish in general diamond shape with squared ends on short sides and openwork, bow handles on long sides. Molded and gilded stalks of corn and wheat extend from handles. Applied decorations in gilding and green paint: across center of plate between handles, two triangular shapes containing basket-weave pattern; around rim between handles, gilded band and border of ribbon and tassel design with roundel containing stylized fleur-de-lis at each side.
CONDITION: Good; few chips around edge.
