Catalogue Description:
Terra cotta figure of a tired young woman, ovoid base. She sits on wooden box with a shirt draped over her lap and her hands clasped around her knees; a pair of scissors and a spool of thread are at her feet. Inspired by the poem "The Song of the Shirt" by Thomas Hood. Condition: Base cracked and has a bad chip on the front.
