Catalogue Description:
A rounded sugar bowl with lid, decorated with transfer-printed polychrome designs of stylized branches and pomegranates on a white ground. At center is an open picture book revealing a scene with a girl leaning on a fence, flanked by a Chinese brush and ink landscape on light blue ground and a rounded fan decorated with fish in the Chinese style. The round lid with an acorn-shaped knob topped with gold. Gilt lines along rim of bowl and lid. Part of a 11-piece tea set. CONDITION: Excellent.
