Catalogue Description:
Side Chair. Gilded wood, modern upholstery. Rectangular, blue, fish-scale design upholstered seat raised on straight, turned tapered front legs that terminate in small round pads. Centered drop anthemion finial from bottom front seat rail flanked by short, turned supports that connect to turned stretcher near top of legs. Two movable, tapered drop finials hang from stretcher. Splayed back legs with round profile rise and curve to seat frame. Straight turned back stiles rise to square blocks with applied buttons to front, flattened angular finials to sides, and stylized acorn finials to top. Round cross bar at top supports rectangular crest and centered anthemion. Semi-circular back splat with centered turned vertical support which intersects turned cross-brace at mid-point of back stiles. CONDITION - Finials replaced.
