Catalogue Description:
One of seven blue-green faience ointment jars of semi cylindrical form, each with separate cover. Flat base, sides taper outward slightly to projecting rim, interior and exterior glazed; in single column down front of each jar inscription in purple blue glaze. Flat circular cover, with mortise; upright disk knob in center with purple-blue band extending on top of cover. Condition: In general, good. Glaze somewhat deteriorated. Three pieces broken off & repaired on rim. Knob repaired.
