Catalogue Description:
Refrigerator ceramic earthenware pitcher (a) with fitted lid (b); cobalt blue body, vitreous glaze. The pitcher is an elongated oval in plan and a round-edged rectangle in elevation, raised on narrower oval base. Handle cut into body of the pitcher. Three grooves run horizontally around body of pitcher at bottom; similar grooves run vertically up side with handle, over top, and around lid. Conforming lid fits flush into top of pitcher. CONDITION: Minor scratches from use; imperfections in glaze; otherwise good.
