Catalogue Description:
Pottery figurine of hippopotamus. Very clumsy work. Slim body; mouth slightly opened; nostrils bored out; ears roughly marked. On right side a big rounded projection, indicating the eyes; a similar on the left side may have been broken off. Condition: half of forelegs and small part of hind legs missing. Lower jaw damaged. Right side covered with whitish efflorescence.
