Catalogue Description: Tiger maple stool. Rectangular seat of four horizontal strips of wood glued together and shaped into concave curved form; supported on two legs and two stretchers running between legs under seat. Two legs angle slightly outward toward floor and, in profile, are in general shape of "I": top bar angled to cradle seat from front to back; main shaft is rectangular, pinched in along sides at center; bottom bar or foot in trapezoid shape. A rectangular stretcher, pinched in along edges at center, connects the two legs near feet. Pieces joined by pegs, mortise & tenon joints, and/or glue. CONDITION: Good; several scratches around feet and on lower stretcher.
