The goddess Hathor was closely associated with the god Horus. Reliefs in her temple at Dendera depict a three-dimensional cult image of her with Horus atop her head. The head here may be from a votive offering made in the form of that image. The Dendera reliefs also reveal that Hathor had a number of other cult images of varying forms. They symbolized her many facets and were used for various cult functions.
