Inlay in Form of Standing Osiris

Catalogue Description:
Glass inlay (rear surface flat) representing, in relief, the god Osiris. The god is shown frontally and mummiform holding to his chest the crook and flail. The wrappings on his body are decorated with a cross-hatch pattern. Projecting out from the body, below the arms, on each side is a fringe decorated with incised diagonal lines. The figure is a medium opaque blue except for the crown (“Atef”) and most of the face which are opaque pale green. Condition: Complete and good but for some dark stain.
