Catalogue Description:
Portion of a sunk relief, in sandstone, showing two men standing on either side of a horse (or two overlapping horses), whose head and neck rises up before them. The man in the near side of the horse holds the horses’ bridle. Condition: Male figures are, with the exception of the tops of their heads, preserved from just above the waist up. The ears and tips of the horse’s nose are missing. Numerous chips over the surface; surface worn and pitted. Incrustation and perhaps the remains of gesso in the hollow.
