Symbolic phallus (linga). Carved of a single piece of stone, this tripartite sculpture symbolically represents the Hindu trinity: Shiva, at the top of the abstract cylindrical phallic form with incised line representing the phallus, surmounts octagonal and square prismatic shapes. representing Vishnu, the Preserver, and Brahma, the Creator, respectively.
Condition: Small area of base is void, but object is stable without a mount. Surface is unevenly abraded.
