Catalogue Description:
Square base with slightly convex sides has mill-stamped band of chevrons along edge; base rises to short support with double-ringed band below bowl of compote. Base unscrews at this point. Circular dishes bowl has squared rim with slightly convex sides edged with mill-stamped band of chevron design. On each side of compote edge is perched a cast, chased cockatoo with wings spread. On front and rear edge are cast, applied branches with leaves and flowers. Surface of compote has "butler's" finish.
