
Dish, with Unidentified "Love" Touch

- Markings: Impressed on underside, from top to bottom:
(1) two stacked, arched rectangular stamps with serrated edge, each containing "LONDON" (top one overlaps bottom one)
(2) in center, circular stamp containing crown above pair of kissing (or love) birds with "LO" on one side and "VE" on the other
(3) partially struck or badly worn stamp, difficult to decipher but resembles a crown atop a large "X"

Highly polished round pewter plate with wide rim that curves upward at edge. Incised line around center.
CONDITION: Good; scratches and pitting, especially in center; dark spots of discoloration around rim; few dings in center.
