    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Marble head, Aphrodite type, preserved to base of neck. Slender face with idealized features. Slightly open mouth. Ear lobes drilled but not pierced. Hair dressed into two small piles over forehead. Condition: Nose, mouth and chin broken giving sculpture an unpleasant expression. Surface, particularly of hair, worn.
