CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Dinner fork with four straight tines. First quarter of handle is undecorated. The sides of the handle flare out gradually and terminate in a rounded end. The center of the handle is decorated with a symmetrical design that consists of a floret surrounded by four smaller floret’s against a stippled ground at the center flanked by two rows of horizontal dots on each side and then a half florets capped by a diamond shape at each end. Then there is a large empty reserve intended for initials. The round end is an arched area with symmetrical scrolls and an arch of dots below. Ruby Pattern. The use of the trademark resulted in lawsuits from the original Rogers Brothers, although they were permitted to use i.e. products were generally considered of Rogers Brothers wares. This pattern very similar to Mayflower, by Holmes & Edwards, and Daisy by William Rogers Manufacturing Company.
Condition: Good; some pitting, stains and scratches on handle.
