CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Bright blue glazed faience figure of the god Horus. Horus is represented as a nude child wearing a cap-like hairdo and sidelock. The figure is crudely made. The right leg, which is represented as being vertical is thick and rectangular. The left leg extends forwards as if the figure were striding but the back pillar extends forwards underneath it to form a seat. Thus the figure appears to be both seated and striding at the same time. The back pillar is pierced for suspension. Condition: Complete.
