CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION A silver-plate child's knife with a plain blade, notched at end and with four small scallops along beginning of right side of blade. Handle curves inward and then out and then notched at one-third point. Sides of handle then flare out in four symmetrical undulations to crest with gentle dome and rounded corners. First third of handle decorated with over-all molded scrolling leaf design, punctuated by a row of five molded dots. In broad end of handle is standing female child in short tunic supporting a hoop in her down-stretched left hand and a baton in right hand, with a very full head of curly hair that billows out to fill crest of handle. Reverse has identical leafy design at beginning, balance undecorated. "Faire Pattern." CONDITION - Good original condition. Plate loss on blade and some pitting and scratching on blade and handle.
