    CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Pedestal or Stand: Wood, base formed from segment of gnarled root to roughly triangular form with three feet, one of which is a natural outgrowth of root, two of which are added on. Columnar support, also formed of gnarled root, has root tendrils near base, section above, where root bifurcates; and becomes four stems near junction with top. Some of the support is an irregularly shaped oval with edges carved to appear a natural cross section of tree limb. CONDITION - Good. Some separation to joints in applied root parts. One joint near top where stem branches secured with modern screw; another fracture near tabletop is secured with two modern screws. Top originally secured to support by three screws, one of which is now a modern replacement. Some damage to finish on edges of top.
