- Catalogue Description: Double candlestick (one of a pair), pewter. Domed base with four pointed lobes at rim forming quatrefoil. Each lobe is concave at rim, curling up slightly, and incised lines on dome separate lobes. Attached to top of dome is U-shaped stem, each end terminating in four-pedaled, tulip-shaped socket, each petal separated by incised lines, the rim of each socket scalloped. The surface of the entire is hand hammered. CONDITION - Some corrosion in sockets. Remains of old wax and polish. Normal wear; deep scratches in concave areas of the two lobes of the base under the sockets. Point of one lobe of rim bent upward slightly.
