Hi spiceytaco -- I wish we had new color photography of everything. Bringing art to the studio and getting it photographed takes more time and skill than scanning existing negatives, so we're doing both.
In this case, whoever made the b/w negative (some are 80 years old) obviously had some lighting issues with that glare on the right side. It's a tough call -- a not-so-good b/w or no picture at all. We decided to go with "something is better than nothing."
