CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Large globular tripod jar with hollow mamiform legs, narrow neck, flared rim, and two modeled appliqué handles in the form of human figures. The shoulders are decorated with two appliqué crocodilian or lizard figures. The vessel is covered in a red slip except for the areas around the appliqué figure, handles, and the vessel legs. The ceramic style is Parismina Fine of the Cartago-La Cabaña Period (800-1500).
Condition: fair; a large section of the neck and rim is broken and missing except for two rim fragments that are stored in a plastic bag with the human heads from both handles. Pieces of the handles are also broken and missing. There are a total of five vessel fragments stored in a plastic bag. The surface also has scratches and gouge marks. There is a second plastic bag with organic material and rocks presumably found inside the vessel.
