Without descriptive material it is difficult, but something that's great about this database is the ability for instant comparison with like objects. External research, of course, will help determine what an object is, but intuitive visual comparison in some ways is even more fulfilling. Also, on a practical note, like objects online might have the descriptive text one object lacks.

sassyass - yes, true enough. without better descriptive material it is difficult (and the link I mention may not even be correct in this case). the collection online is new for us (as you know) and more information will go online as we have it. for now, this is what we have. if you are trying to do your own research on palette, this may be more helpful:
