- Markings: Impressed in center of basin, partially struck mark: oval stamp with "RICHA[RD]" around top edge; in center, dove carrying branch flying above fox (lamb?); and "[AUS]TIN" around bottom edge. [Laughlin identifies the animal as a lamb, but it does not resemble one.]

- Catalogue Description: Round pewter basin rises from flat bottom, sides curve gently outward, with bent flat rim. CONDITION: Good; allover tarnish, scratches, and pitting; one patch of pitted corrosion on inner side and one dark spot of discoloration in center of basin.
