MARKINGS Impressed on underside, from left to right: (1) partially impressed oval stamp with scrolled border containing "[THOMAS] D." around top edge and "[BOARDMAN]" around lower edge and eagle with outspread wings and an American crest over its breast in the center. (2) identical to mark #1, but "THOMAS D." and "BOARDMAN" (letters are legible)
INSCRIPTIONS Impressed on underside, in between two marks: "X"

CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION Large, round, highly polished pewter dish with wide rim that curves upward slightly at edge; incised line around center and around rim near edge. CONDITION: Fair; crack in edge of rim; many dark spots of discoloration or corrosion across center; some scratches and dings.
