- Markings: Impressed on underside, from top to bottom: (1) two stacked, arched rectangular stamps with serrated edge, each containing "LONDON" (top one overlaps bottom one) (2) in center, circular stamp containing crown above pair of kissing (or love) birds with "LO" on one side and "VE" on the other (3) partially struck or badly worn stamp, difficult to decipher but resembles a crown atop a large "X"
