Vase, walnut. Tall rectangular vase raised on wide, rectangular ebonized base which supports three stepped rectangles (smallest one at bottom). The top section of the vase, forming a visual capital, also ebonized.
Condition: Tall vase lists slightly to one side. Minor scuffs and scratches to corners, especially on one side where surface gouges cover about 1 1/2" area. On opposite side near bottom is area with thin scratches, overall about 2 1/2" long. Wear to top edges of black base, especially on one side where copper paint shows (about 1" long). On same side black finish is scratched on stepped base, marks along lowest step about 1" long. |
