Description |
Circular medal, modeled in bas relief. Obverse: male allegorical figure holding aloft torch and seated upon back of flying Victory, "1900" and exposition building in right background, legend around edge, "EXPOSITION UNIVERSELLE INTERNATIONALE." Reverse: allegorical female bust in profile with branch of oak leaves and acorns in hair formed by tree, bridge and cityscape in background, legend around sides, "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE". |
