The Brooklyn Museum is a not-for-profit corporation whose Trustees operate the Museum in a building owned by the City of New York. The City provides funding through the Department of Cultural Affairs to help support the Museum's operations. The Museum also receives operating support from the New York State Council on the Arts. The combined generosity of the Trustees, Museum's Members, and visitors, as well as that of corporate, foundation, government, and individual donors, sustains the Museum's programs and activities each year.Learn more about:
