Visit: Group Tours

Guided group tours of the Brooklyn Museum's permanent collections and special exhibitions can be arranged for adult groups with at least 10 people. Flexible and good-humored, Museum Guides invite participants to explore the collections by looking closely at specific works of art. Their expertise and passion resonate with visitors as guided tours deepen understanding and encourage learning. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and can be tailored to meet a variety of interests.

Permanent Collection Tours

Permanent collection tours include Highlights of the Brooklyn Museum; American Art: Brooklyn and New York; Chinese and Japanese Ceramics; Arts of South and Southeast Asia; American Identities: A New Look; Egypt Reborn: Art for Eternity; The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago; and Contemporary Art Collection.

Accessibility Tours

Touch tours, including verbal descriptions and opportunities to touch particular works of art, are available for visitors who are blind or have low vision. ASL interpretation is available for visitors who are deaf or hard of hearing. 

Reservations

To schedule a guided tour, please contact us at least three weeks in advance. To schedule a self-guided tour, please contact us as soon as you know your preferred date.You may submit a reservation request online or fax a completed reservation request form to the number below. Call or email us for more information. We suggest that you provide at least two possible times and/or dates.

Tours involve walking and standing. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are limited in number. If you or any members of your group would like a wheelchair, notify us ahead of time. All of our galleries are handicapped accessible.

Once the date and time of your visit are confirmed, we will send you a confirmation letter with check-in information and group tour policies. Guided groups should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. An advance deposit is required.
