Due to health concerns in connection with the novel coronavirus, and as a matter of care for our staff, visitors, community, and city, we are closed to the public until further notice. We thank everyone who has applied for—or is considering applying for—a position at the Museum and sincerely value your interest in working with us. With the Museum closure, however, we have paused filling any open positions. Please check back for the latest information and our plans to reopen.

The Brooklyn Museum is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Applicants for positions are considered without regard to race, creed, color, country of origin, sex, age, citizenship, disability, or sexual orientation. Candidates of color are strongly encouraged to apply.

Full-time Positions

Part-time Positions

Learn from, and work with, experts from all areas of the Brooklyn Museum. As an intern, you’ll be paired with a supervisor and integrated into one of our departments, participating fully in day-to-day workplace activities and projects with the guidance of full-time staff members. In addition to gaining extensive work experience, you’ll have the opportunity to attend seminars that focus on the role of museums in society today, and how they might imagine the future. Internships include unpaid positions (with school credit available) and our paid ten-week Summer Internship Program for undergraduates and recent graduates. (Also, check our ongoing opportunities for teens.)

Currently, we’re not accepting requests to volunteer at the Museum. If you recently emailed us about volunteering, thank you! We appreciate your interest and will keep your request on file in case we have any volunteer openings.
