Family Program Teaching Artist (P/T)—Education

We are seeking an energetic and flexible teaching artist to teach Creativity Lab, a 1.5-hour open studio style program for diverse intergenerational audiences.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, B.F.A. preferred
  • Knowledge of art history and artistic practices
  • Experience teaching studio art
  • Experience working with intergenerational family audiences, including children under the age of five, with accompanying adults
  • Fluency in the Spanish language

Responsibilities:

  • Work with families in a studio setting, either 1) with a range of supplies for open and creative exploration or 2) in partnership with a visiting artist to realize a project of that artist’s design
  • Assist with studio setup and cleanup
  • Share program information and assist with the program evaluation process

FLSA status: Non-exempt

Salary: $100/day (3 hours, including prep and cleanup)

Schedule: One Sunday per month, January–May, 2019, 3–6 pm
