12–5 pm
Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Forum, 4th Floor
Join us for a ritual unfurling of a quilt begun in 2004 as part of the project An Army of Lovers Cannot Fail, by artist Ginger Brooks Takahashi, who set up the in-process quilt in various homes, galleries, and gardens, inviting people to sew with one another over the course of five years. We invite you to add your stitches as the four sides of the quilt are bound on Saturday, June 8. On Sunday, June 9, we will host a conversation, much like the talk that evolved around the quilt’s making. This program is free with Museum admission.
