Performance: War Is Personal

Saturday, January 25, 2014

2–2 pm

Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor

Join award-winning photographer Eugene Richards for the debut dramatization of his photo essay book War Is Personal, entitled In a Far Away Mind. It chronicles the lives of seven men and women, each of whom has different experiences and perceptions of what it means to go to war—to fight, to wait, to mourn, and to remember. The reading will be followed by a Q&A with Richards, the actors, and former combat medic Michael Harmon.

Free with Museum admission. Seating is first-come, first-served.

While at the Museum, please take some time to visit the exhibition WAR/PHOTOGRAPHY: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath.
