Curator Tour: The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago

Thursday, March 8, 2018

12–1 pm

Meet in the Rubin Lobby, 1st Floor

On International Women’s Day, Carmen Hermo, Assistant Curator for the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art, gives a special tour of The Dinner Party by Judy Chicago. The 1974–79 masterwork combatted the erasure of women from mainstream historical narratives by celebrating the achievements of women throughout Western history. Includes a discussion of art and feminism, including critiques of the artwork, as well as the role of collective action.

Free with Museum general admission (purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately).
