Drink and Draw: The Slipstream

Friday, September 10, 2021

7–9 pm

Biergarten, Steinberg Family Sculpture Garden

Sip and sketch in our backyard Biergarten with a special pay-what-you-wish edition of our outdoor series of life drawing classes, in celebration of our community and the full reopening of the Museum. The class is open to all levels and accompanied by a refreshing beverage and musical vibes by local DJs. Sketch from live models, learn more about our newest contemporary art exhibition, The Slipstream: Reflection, Resilience, and Resistance in the Art of Our Time, and experiment with materials in a casual class led by teaching artist Mellasenah Nicole Edwards, with vibes courtesy of DJ9AM.

Tickets start at $15 and include after-hours admission to The Slipstream, art materials in your own Brooklyn Museum tote, and a complimentary drink. Please consider an additional donation; your contribution supports our dynamic public programs and events.

This event takes place outdoors. In case of inclement weather, we will notify participants in advance (rain location: Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavilion). Indoor restrooms will be available.

All visitors 12 and older must show proof of vaccination and a valid I.D. Masks are required regardless of vaccination status.
