Have an “ale” on us! Performers flaunt the intricate patterns and lively footwork of longsword and rapper sword dancing traditionally meant to entertain at winter “ales” in the farming and coal-mining regions of North England and Scotland. We welcome back Half Moon Sword of New York City and eleven other English folk dance groups from around the country as they transport us to a wintry celebration in the British Isles.
