Then, the Academy Award–nominated documentary Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo (The Mothers of the Plaza de Mayo) (Susana Blaustein Muñoz and Lourdes Portillo, 1985, 64 min.) tells the story of the activist mothers who challenged the repressive regime in Argentina during the 1970s and 1980s.

Tickets are $10 and include Museum general admission (purchase tickets for David Bowie is separately). Free for the first 50 Members (two tickets each) by emailing membership@brooklynmuseum.org. Not a Member? Join today! Part of the series Mujeres Rebeldes: Radical Women on Film.
