Little Cinema remixes and reimagines the sci-fi masterpiece The Man Who Fell to Earth (Nicolas Roeg, 1976, 140 min.) in this multimedia screening. The film features David Bowie in his acting debut as Thomas Jerome Newton, an alien who has come to Earth in search of water to save his home planet. It has gone on to develop a cult following for its surreal imagery and Bowie’s command performance. This special evening features live music by Jason Lindner, Mark Guiliana, and Tim Lefebvre, who recorded and collaborated on Bowie’s final album, Blackstar (2016). Little Cinema brings its signature flair with video mixing by CHNNLS (Jay Rinsky) and dance by Katherine Crockett. Doors open at 6:30 pm; program begins at 7:30.
