Member Preview: Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving

Thursday, February 7, 2019

11 am–9 pm

Join us for an exclusive Member Preview of Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving before the exhibition opens to the public. Explore a collection of Kahlo’s clothing and other personal possessions, which were rediscovered and inventoried in 2004, after being locked away since her death in 1954. These are displayed alongside important paintings, drawings, and photographs from the celebrated Jacques and Natasha Gelman Collection of 20th Century Mexican Art, as well as related historical film and ephemera.

Free for Members, but reservations are required. Standard Membership admission benefits apply. Your Membership must be current on the day of the event or you will need to renew your Membership to claim your tickets. The last exhibition entrance is at 8 pm.
