Symposium: “Costume Collections: A Collaborative Model for Museums”

This symposium examines the historic collection-sharing collaboration between the Brooklyn Museum and The Metropolitan Museum of Art.



The first day’s program illuminates the particulars of the innovative arrangement and provides insight into the three-year collection assessment project that preceded it. The second day of the symposium takes place at the Met on Saturday, May 22, 11 a.m.–5 p.m.



This event is co-hosted by the Brooklyn Museum and the Met’s Costume Institute. Entry is free with Museum admission; reservations and tickets are not required.
