St. Luke’s Chamber Ensemble: Mozart Clarinet Quintet
Sunday, February 10, 2019
2–4 pm
Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor
Mozart was well known in his time for his remarkable genius and his spontaneous, charismatic nature, in both his tumultuous personal life and his music. This all-Mozart program features two beloved pieces that reflect the composer’s flamboyant personality. The evening includes Sinfonia Concertante for Violin and Viola, K. 364, his only complete surviving work in the genre, performed in an equally virtuosic arrangement for string sextet, and the Clarinet Quintet in A Major, written as a showpiece for his friend Anton Stadler to give the clarinetist the opportunity to dazzle and shine.

Tickets are $40 ($32 for Members) and are available at oslmusic.org.
