Artist Howardena Pindell marks the 30th anniversary of her short film Free, White and 21 (1980, 12 min.) in conversation with Catherine Morris, Sackler Senior Curator, Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. Learn more about the context for creating this influential work, the activist roots of Pindell's artistic practice, and her approach to building a personal archive. The film is currently on view on our plaza as part of Art on the Stoop: Sunset Screenings.

This program is presented in partnership with the Feminist Institute, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to collecting, digitizing, and sharing the rich history of feminist art, humanities, and politics.
