Virtual Teacher Program: Artist Talk with Stephanie Syjuco
Monday, May 10, 2021
6:30–8 pm
Online
Presented in partnership with Art21, this talk by artist Stephanie Syjuco explores how contemporary art and arts education can support culturally inclusive, antiracist teaching. Learn about Syjuco’s recent work, which considers how photography and other image-based artistic processes have constructed racialized, exclusionary narratives of history, citizenship, immigration, and identity. Brooklyn Museum and Art21 educators will also share strategies and resources to help students engage critically with the themes presented by Syjuco.
This program is free, but registration is required. A Zoom link will be sent via email. Questions? Email teacher.services@brooklynmuseum.org.
