Mothers of Bedford (Jenifer McShane, 2011, 96 min.) follows the lives of five women and their battles to care for their children and for self-improvement while in the difficult condition of incarceration. The unique and progressive programs of the Children’s Center at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility are featured. The screening is followed by a talk between Jenifer McShane, the film’s director, and Bobby Blanchard, social justice advocate and former Director of the Children’s Center at Bedford Hills.
