Paper label on back, "Original Dish from / the / White House Dinner Set / Made for President / Abraham Lincoln / 1860-1865" second paper label reads: "for Mr./ T.H. Davis" T.H. (Theodore). Davis was the chief decorator for Haviland china per KLS.
