  • November 17, 1949 An exhibition of 50 photographs by Paul Weller go on view in the Photography Gallery of the Brooklyn Museum today (November 17) and will remain on view through December 27.

The photographer’s work covers a wide range of realistic subjects rendered with great emotional feeling.

Mr. Weller was born in Boston in 1912. He traveled extensively both in this country and in Europe before the war and spent some time in the army in North Africa, India and China. He has studied at the National Academy of Design and at the Film Institute, and for the past two years has been doing work for Collier’s, Hapers Bazaar, Pageant, Liberty, etc. In speaking of his own work he says that he tries to “use as much of the technical range of the photographic process as I can master - allowing my ‘method’ in a particular picture to arise out of the most objective attitude towards the subject.”
