November 20, 1961
On Sunday afternoon, November 26, The Brooklyn Museum will present Miss Maria Drzewicka in a lecture on "Polish Folk Art". The young Polish lecturer is a representative of Cepelia, the most important organization in Europe for the support and development of the folk arts. Her illustrated lecture will include the many charming toys, paintings on glass and unique examples of wood sculpture and ceramics by Polish craftsmen.
In this respect it is worth noting the lecture is a forerunner of the sales-exhibition which will open at the Museum on November 28 and run through January 14. It is the richest collection of folk art ever to be seen outside of Poland.
The public is cordially invited to attend this free lecture which begins promptly at 3:45 p.m. in the Lecture Hall of The Brooklyn Museum.
