Catalogue Description:
Pitcher, glazed earthenware. Oval body flares to broad midpoint then returns to narrow neck which rises to pointed spout and s-shaped handle. Exterior of body is pale yellow or ivory with areas of gold decoration in cloud-like forms; handle and spout are gold. On front, painted in dark brown, a witch on broomstick in starry sky chasing bats; on back, three crossed pins, 1692. CONDITION: Glaze crazed, otherwise fine.
