Catalogue Description:
Bronze figure of a goddess wearing a lappet wig. The goddess is shown squatting and wearing an enveloping robe. She rests upon a four-legged platform which has a top edge in the form of a cavetto cornice. There is a hole in the top of her head which is almost certainly for the insertion of a representation of an ostrich feather. Condition: Surface has brown/black patina. Features partially lost through pitting. Solid cast. Rough surface. Chip from one leg of platform due to modern drilling. Some lead salts appear along left flank of figure.
